Front desk check-in, NFC badge scan, class booking, Stripe or SEPA payment, a note the coach leaves on their phone, it all lands on the same record in real time. Reception sees the same profile the owner sees from home, and the member sees the correct plan in their app.

Can I import my existing members from Excel, Mindbody or Glofox?+
Yes. We import from CSV, Excel, Mindbody, Glofox, Virtuagym, Hellocasa and most legacy systems. You send us an export, we run a mapping call with you, deduplicate the records and bring across historical subscriptions, attendance, and open balances. Typical migration takes 2 to 5 business days depending on volume. It's included, not a paid add-on.
Is Shredeo GDPR-compliant for a Belgian, French or Dutch gym?+
Yes. Data is hosted in the EU, we sign a Data Processing Agreement with you, and every member profile has a one-click export and one-click erasure that produces the audit trail the regulator asks for. Role-based permissions let you restrict who sees sensitive fields like health notes or payment details. We built the product in Belgium, which means EU data protection wasn't an afterthought.
Who sees the staff notes on a member profile?+
You decide, per role. By default, notes are visible to owners, managers and coaches, but not to receptionists or the member themselves. You can create a private note visible only to owners for sensitive matters (behavioral issues, medical information shared in confidence). Every note is timestamped and attributed, so you always know who wrote what and when.
Can members edit their own profile in the app?+
Yes, within limits you control. Members can update their phone number, address, emergency contact, profile photo, and communication preferences through the white-label member app. Fields that affect billing or membership status (plan, start date, payment method) require staff confirmation. Every member-initiated change is logged so you can reverse it in one click if needed.
How do I merge duplicate member records?+
Shredeo automatically flags likely duplicates based on email, phone, and name matching after your import, and you review them from the dashboard. Merging preserves the full history of both records: all attendance, payments, bookings, notes and tags are combined on the surviving profile, and the merge itself is logged for audit. You can also merge manually at any time when a duplicate slips through.
What do other gyms actually use member tags for?+
The most common ones we see: 'at risk' for members who haven't checked in for 14 days, 'corporate' for company-paid memberships that need separate invoicing, 'injury' or 'pregnancy' for coaches to adapt programs, 'birthday month' for automated perks, 'referrer' for members who brought in others, and 'trial ending' for the 7 days before a free trial closes. Tags drive segmented messaging, filtered dashboards, and conditional automations in every other Shredeo module.
